In Multi Grade Filter or Pressure Sand Filter, water is passed through multiple layers of filter media consisting of graded sand,
pebbles and gravels layers. This arrangement captures contaminants in the media bed and filtered water passes into the
discharge manifold at the bottom of the tanks.
A "multi-grade sand filter" is a type of depth filter that uses a mixture of different sized sand particles (coarse and fine) within a single filter bed, allowing it to effectively remove a wider range of suspended solids and particles from water, compared to a standard sand filter
